Research to Action: The Case of the African Indigenous Vegetable Value Chain in Kenya

Micro-nutrient deficiency, also referred to as hidden hunger, is high among the Kenyan population, even among those who meet their daily dietary requirements. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on nutrition-sensitive value chains and the potential of AIVs to contribute to nutrition security at household level; at the same time, it provides insights to influence policy. The overall objective of the study is to evaluate the contribution of AIVs to household nutrition security and provide insights on the opportunity to influence policy.
